If you were worried about a disruption in your eCommerce shipments to Canada because of the looming labor disruption at Canada Post, you should be OK for now, labor relations experts say.
Postal service workers have been without contracts since late January 2016, but labor experts are “reasonably confident” that mail service will continue in the short term. The 2 sides are narrowing the issues and there appears to be the makings of a resolution.
Even if negotiations fail, either side is still required to give 72-hours’ notice of a work stoppage.
